What we do - Events - WPCC’s First Information Event of 2026

Please hold the date, ready to join us on Friday 6th February 2026 at the Civic Centre, Trowbridge for our next SEND Information Event.

We are in the very earliest stages of planning for this event and we will release more information in due course, but for now we can say that:
• The event will run from 9:30am to 2:00pm
• Free refreshments will be available
• Parent carers will be able to claim out of pocket expenses incurred by attending, including mileage and car parking
• You are welcome to drop in at a time that suits you, stay for the whole day or just an hour or two.

People who attended our November event gave an overall average rating of 4.8 out of 5 (with 5 being Excellent). The event was described as informative, supportive, and welcoming. In their feedback, attendees gave very positive responses, praising the variety of stalls and the helpful information available. Several people enjoyed the refreshments, with one person noting they “enjoyed the cakes and tea and coffee.” Another person highlighted the marketplace as especially valuable, saying they “got some excellent information from really helpful representatives.” Overall, people appreciated the welcome talk and thanked the organisers for an informative and well-run event. Some people raised practical issues about the event, with the most common concern being that the event space was too crowded, which some found overstimulating and made it hard to hear speakers. People also suggested a larger room for the workshop.

We are delighted that by holding the next event at the Civic Centre, a larger venue than the Corn Exchange, we will be to address the identified issues of space and overcrowding.
