WPCC Staff Changes

We were very sad to say goodbye to Kate Martin recently. Kate joined the WPCC in 2021, initially as a member of our Telephone Triage team and later joined Helen as a SENDIS Officer. Due to a recent change in personal circumstances, Kate made the difficult decision to leave the WPCC. Kate brought much warmth, humour, care and a wealth of knowledge to her role and although we are sad to say goodbye, we are delighted that Kate is keen to stay connected to the WPCC in a voluntary capacity, so hopefully we will see her from time to time at events etc.

Although sad to say goodbye to Kate, we were delighted to be able to offer Sam Kyte the position of SENDIS Officer. Sam joined the WPCC at the beginning of 2023 as a member of our Telephone Triage team and moving on to SENDIS Officer is a natural progression for her.

Joining Laura in our Telephone Triage team is Jen Hitchmough. Jen is currently undertaking her training and induction and will formally take on her role from July. It is possible you will speak to Jen while she is training. Once Jen has completed her training, Jen will be working Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and Laura will be working Thursdays and Fridays. We extend our congratulations to Jen on her successful appointment and warmly welcome her to the WPCC team.
