The sibling relationship is often an important one. When you have more than one child, you may spend time encouraging positive sibling relationships and supporting siblings and their relationships. This may require additional understanding when a child in the family is autistic or has a learning disability.
Dr Louise Rixon and Julie Tattersfield will draw on research findings and personal experiences to discuss the sibling relationship when one child is autistic or has a learning disability and what we can do to support siblings and their relationships.
Useful sources of support for siblings, parents and carers will be shared.
