Wiltshire Inclusive Activities - New 2026 Initiative
|
Do you have a child who is home-schooled and/or has SEND? Are you both looking for something fun, free, and welcoming to enjoy together on Tuesday mornings, once a month?
WID are working in partnership with the Sport & Physical Activity Team at Wiltshire Council and based on feedback from parents and carers, we’re launching a brand-new initiative in 2026 designed to bring families and children who are homeschooled and/or have SEND to be active together.
Parent Carer & Young Persons Activities (PCYP)
Here’s what a typical session will look like:
10:00 – 10:45 – The sports hall will be divided into two areas: one for parents/carers and one for the young people they care for. This means parents can enjoy their own activity while knowing their child is engaged and supported by trained staff.
10:45 – 11:00 – Break
11:00 – 11:30 – Everyone comes together for a fun, inclusive group activity.
11:30 – 12:00 – Complimentary refreshments and a relaxed space to socialise and build connections.
Session details:
Salisbury: First Tuesday of every month, starting Tuesday 6 January 2026, 10:00–12:00 at Five Rivers Health & Wellbeing Centre
Melksham: Third Tuesday of every month, starting Tuesday 20 January 2026, 10:00–12:00 at Melksham Community Campus
