Support for Parents Supporting Children & Young People with Mental Health Needs

When your child is struggling with their mental health, they can often feel completely alone. The ripple effect can leave us as parents feeling isolated, ashamed, or judged.

Parenting Mental Health is a charitable organisation that offers support and resources to help parents who are affected by the impact of their child’s mental health. Resources available on the Parent Mental Health Website includes: -

• [Navigating work when your child has poor mental health]
• [articles],
• [free guides],
• a [private Facebook group] which provides a unique space where 40,000 parents from all over the world share the experience of parenting a child with a mental health issue,
• [Chat & Connect sessions] are weekly informal online drop in sessions where you can come and talk to other parents, bring your worries, bring your questions, share your tips and wins and connect with others, with people who get what you're going through,
• and much more
