Parent carers needed for new support roles in inpatient CAMHS

Are you a parent/carer of a child or young person who has needed inpatient mental health care before they were 25?

Would you like to work in a paid role to support other families who have a child as an inpatient in mental health services?

Specialised Children’s Mental Health Services are seeking parents and carers of children who have been in inpatient CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) to provide peer support to families of children currently in hospital.

The Family Ambassador programme employs parents and carers who, with their experience, are uniquely placed to add a new dimension of support to families whose children need inpatient treatment for a mental health condition.

Family Ambassadors work as part of a small team and the roles can be flexible, home-based and full- or part-time.
