Parents and Carers

Welcome. If you’ve come to visit us, chances are you probably care for a child or young person with a disability or special educational needs (SEN). And, as such, you probably will have had one or two battles over the years, just to get some help or support in place for your child or family. We’re also willing to bet that you are tired of having to do this.

Guess what? Things are changing in Wiltshire. Parents and carers are working alongside the local authority to help design better support and better services so that our children and families can have better lives.

Our organisation and membership

The Wiltshire Parent Carer Council (WPCC) is a voluntary organisation, managed by parents and carers FOR parents and carers. Boasting a membership in excess of 400 members, our children range in age from 0-25yrs. The kinds of disabilities or special educational needs they have vary from physical, learning, communication, behavioural, sensory to rare disorders, as well as heath conditions which mean they have additional and sometimes, very complex needs.
