Common assessment framework

If a child or young person has additional needs that are not being met by the universal services they receive, the family might find it useful to have a Common Assessment Framework (CAF).

The assessment will identify any additional needs and the process will make sure services are working together to support the child and the family in addressing those needs. Families can approach a lead professional working with the family to carry out a CAF. Depending on the outcome of the assessment, you may be able to access targeted services.

To find out more about CAF, please speak to a professional who works with your family, or go to the [Common Assessment Framework pages of the Wiltshire Council website].
