Wiltshire Wildlife Trust Adult Wellbeing Programme

WWT.JPG
This Programme supports mental and emotional wellbeing through outdoor activity in nature. Research shows that outdoor activity is beneficial to mental and physical wellbeing and the Wellbeing Programme aims to improve mental wellbeing with a weekly programme of outdoor activities.

The scheme has been running since 2008, in partnership with NHS Wiltshire, to provide activities for anyone experiencing mental health issues such as persistent low mood, depression, anxiety or long-term mental health conditions. The Programme provides fresh and stimulating activities, such as walking, taking care of local wildlife, woods and meadows, and learning traditional woodland crafts.

Find out more about the Programme tasks and activities [here].

Whatever your needs and interests the Wellbeing Programme will support you through a variety of outdoor activity programmes and signpost you to other relevant training and support if required. This free programme uses outdoor activity in nature as a therapeutic measure to support anyone experiencing mental health difficulties as defined by the inclusion criteria on the application form.

Many of the activities take place near town centres and close to bus routes but help with transport and fuel costs is available if required.

Please see their information leaflet and for an application pack please contact the Wellbeing Team at Wiltshire Wildlife Trust, Elm Tree Court , Long Street, Devizes SN10 1NJ.
