DfE Young People's Advisory Group

The Department of Education has chosen 16 young people with special educational needs and/or disability (SEND) to join a Young People’s Advisory Group (YPAG) that will help steer the SEND reforms in the Children and Families Bill.

Now you can add your voice to the debate, thanks to the selection of Wiltshire Youth Disabled Group (WYDG) member Richard Jackman - pictured right - from over 150 applicants nationwide. You can have your say by visiting the WYDG Facebook page and leaving a comment. Your ideas will then be collated for Richard to take to the next meeting.

The first YPAG meeting took place on Saturday 27th October at the Department for Education (DfE) where the group discussed its goals, ways of working and nominated representatives for the Department for Education's National Advisory Group, a group of experts and stakeholders who will advise the Government on the bill.
