Wiltshire Council’s Children with a Disability Teams (CDTs) provide a service to meet the additional needs of children and young people up to 18 years old and their families.
Services for children and young people with disabilities are provided in many different ways, to meet various levels of need, from universal services such as children's centres or GPs, to specialist services such as medical and nursing care - to find out more about service levels, see our Services page.
You'll find the answers to many questions you may have on [Wiltshire Council's social care web pages] or on the [Wiltshire Local Offer website]. If your enquiry is urgent or you can't find the information you need, then you can contact the relevant Child Disability Team directly using the details below.
Contacting the Child Disability Service
The Children and Young People's Disability Team can be contacted on 0300 456 0108.
How to make contact
Telephone
Most new contacts are dealt with by the duty Social Worker. There will always be a Social Worker on duty during office hours, but they may be dealing with somebody else so may not be able to respond immediately. Sometimes you may speak to a student Social Worker. This is somebody who is in training and whose work is supervised by a qualified Social Worker.
Visit
It is best to make an appointment by telephone rather than calling in. This will ensure that your waiting time is reduced.
Write in
Please address your correspondence to the Team Manager who will usually ask the duty Social Worker to respond.
