These events are the perfect way to enjoy the museum without the hustle and bustle of the general public. This autumn, you'll be able to visit their [new Space gallery] (opening on Saturday 20th September 2025), full of out-of-this-world exhibits and inspiring stories.
Early Birds
Saturday 25th October 2025, 8:00am - 11:00am
Saturday 14th December 2025, 8:00am - 11:00am
Early Birds is a sensory friendly event for families with members who benefit from visiting the museum during quieter times.
As well as exploring some of the galleries and taking part in special workshops, you can book tickets to lower capacity sessions in our interactive experiences Wonderlab and Power Up at a reduced price.

Night Owls
Saturday 29th November 2025, 6:30pm - 9:30pm
Night Owls is a sensory friendly evening for young adults and adults – ages 16 and over – who need a quieter environment to enjoy the museum.
Explore their award-winning free galleries at your pace, enjoy a selection of fun activities across the museum and visit Wonderlab and Power Up for plenty of hands-on fun.
