Hockey taster

Sunday 31st August 2025
Time 1pm-2.30pm
For all abilities and ages, siblings and family members welcome to join in
Salisbury Hockey Club is one of the largest participatory sports clubs across Wiltshire, Hampshire, and Dorset. The club has worked hard to create accessible opportunities within hockey for individuals with disabilities. As part of this initiative, they launched Flyerz Hockey and now offer two free, community-based sessions each week. These sessions are designed to engage disabled individuals, as well as those with long-term health conditions or mobility impairments. It is open to all ages / abilities and siblings and family members are welcome to join in.

Sessions are held at Salisbury and South Wilts Sports Club (SP2 9NY) on:
Thursday evenings from 6:00–7:00pm
Friday mornings from 10:00–11:00am

They are holding a special “Pick Up a Stick Day” on Sunday 31st August. This is a fun, relaxed introductory session open to all ages and abilities – a chance for families to come along, give hockey a go, and see what it’s all about.
