Have Your Say! - WPCC SEND Transport Survey

In Wiltshire, there is a new programme called FACT that is looking at what is working well and what could be done differently across children’s services (including health, education and social care). FACT stands for Family and Children’s Transformation. FACT is working with many different stakeholders to begin discussions about how organisations in Wiltshire are working together and what could be done to make lives better for families. These stakeholders include a variety of health services, schools and early years’ settings, council services, family support services, voluntary organisations and the Wiltshire Parent Carer Council. FACT is working to improve all families’ experiences of accessing children’s services, not just for those of children with SEN and/or disabilities. Key to the programme is the desire to always want to improve the services provided so that children and young people can live safely, healthily and be happy in their own families and communities, and build on good work already going on and move it forward.

One of the FACT work streams that Wiltshire Parent Carer Council (WPCC) has been involved in is looking at SEND Transport. WPCC and the FACT SEND Transport group would really value parent carers’ input to help shape the service and to ensure it meets children and young people’s needs and is as economical as possible.

We would be very grateful if you could spare 10 minutes of your time to take part in a short survey to help inform the SEND Transport work and to help us all work together to meet the needs of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and their families more fully. (If you have more than one child or young person using SEND travel assistance, please complete a survey for each child).

Anyone who needs assistance completing the survey can contact WPCC on 01225 764647.

All survey responses are anonymous.
