Carer Support Wiltshire is an independent registered charity that offers unpaid carers free and confidential information, support, advice and time out opportunities.

The charity aims to ensure that no carer reaches crisis point before they get the support they need. They provide the following core services:

  • Information and advice about issues that affect carers, including benefits, breaks, support services, carer assessments and aids & adaptation.
  • Emotional support on the telephone or during a home visit by a support worker.
  • Community consultation aimed at creating a unified voice in the locality to ensure carers have an impact on decision making.

Other services that are offered by Carers in Wiltshire include:

  • Short breaks that allow carers to enjoy a bit of ‘me time’, such as pampering/complementary therapies, days out, activities and events.
  • Training opportunities in skills often needed by Carers such as personal development, stress management and more.
  • Social groups and speakers.
  • Volunteer services including befrienders or temporary care help.

If you would like to receive any of these services then all you have to do is register your details on the Carer Support Wiltshire website registration page.
