Barnardo's Kingfisher (ASD) clubs

Barnardos logo.jpg
Barnardo's run monthly Kingfisher clubs in Devizes, Chippenham and Trowbridge for children and young people with an Autistic Spectrum condition, giving them the opportunity to socialize with their peer group in an environment that meets their needs and is accepting of them as individuals. The clubs started in June 2015 and are funded by Wiltshire council.

These groups offer core activities such as arts and crafts, music and cookery. Other activities will be offered following consultation with the young people attending.

The clubs are for young people aged 8-18 years and there are 10 places for each session which need to be booked in advance by phoning 07840 857405 or by emailing: jane.middletonjones@barnardos.org.uk.

Young people can attend independently or with a carer if they have high level support needs. Parents/carers are welcome to visit a group first with their young person if they wish to do so.

Induction paperwork will need to be completed prior to a young person attending the club. There is a charge of £2.50 for each session.

Please phone the above number for further information and/or take a look at our WPCC What's On calendar for session dates, times, etc.
