New Shuttle Bus Service in Salisbury

A new shuttle bus service to help people get to Five Rivers Health and Wellbeing Centre from Salisbury city centre is being piloted for a year. The service, which will run every Thursday starting on 9 June 2016, has been funded by the Salisbury Area Board working with Wessex Community Action. The pilot is aimed at taking and returning people from the city centre to access facilities at the new Five Rivers Health & Wellbeing Centre.

Facilities at Five Rivers Health & Wellbeing Centre include:-

Free access to swimming pools for under 16s during all Wiltshire school holidays. Apply for an under 16s school holiday [free swim membership card].
Changing Places facility.
The Meadows Learning Disabilities Day Centre.
Citizens Advice Wiltshire, which provides a variety of help and advice services to the community.

Return tickets are £2 and buses will run from New Canal and Castle Street (Iceland bus stop). For more information and a detailed timetable people can contact Bryan Griffiths at bryan@wessexcommunityaction.org.uk or on 01722 326822.
