2018 Big Pledge Challenge – join the Ability Sports team!

Big pledge.JPG
The 2018 Big Pledge Challenge is back and this year every second counts. In celebration of the home nations success at the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast, the Big Pledge: Beat the Clock 8 week activity challenge is back from 14 May – 8 July.

You can sign up as an individual or as part of a team and any sport or physical activity counts towards your timed challenge. The focus this year is on achieving active minutes with a variety of challenges available to make the challenge suitable for you. There is a ‘Beat the Clock Team Challenge’ where you compete as a team, at your workplace or club, with colleagues, friends and family.

Rob Paget (Wiltshire Council’s Disability Sports Development Officer) has created an ‘Ability Sports’ team and he’s hoping you will be happy to join. All Rising Stars, Fit Club, Boccia sessions, football, adapted cycling and PE at school etc. all count towards the time – in fact any physical activity counts from walking to housework. The team is not only for individuals with a disability – Rob will be inputting his totals and he hopes that parents/carers will also sign up too.
