Wiltshire CAMHS Online Referral (including Self-Referral)

In Wiltshire, parent carers and young people can now ‘self-refer’ to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service using an online referrals form, located [here]. To help you with your referral, the flyer below shows you the information you will be asked for during the online process. The service will look at the referral and identify the help needed. It may also work with other organisations to get a child/ young person the help and support they require.
For all routine referrals to CAMHS please contact the Wiltshire CAMHS Single Point of Access Team on 01865 903 330 (Mon-Fri 9am – 5pm).
For emergency referrals (where a child poses an immediate danger to themselves or others) please follow the emergency advice at the bottom of the poster below.
Salisbury CAMHS phone number update - Please note that from 13th September Salisbury CAMHS (including LD CAMHS) will have a new telephone number:-
01865 901901
This number replaces the old number of 01722 336262 extension 2779. Please call this new number to discuss any young person open to, or awaiting an appointment with, Salisbury CAMHS.
01865 903330 remains the number to call if you are concerned about any young person not already known to CAMHS, and / or to refer young person to CAMHS.
In Wiltshire Parent Carer Council’s CAMHS Consultations and Survey that took place in April/ May 2017, parent carers said self-referral by children/ young people, and referral by parent carers, was one of the points they liked about the new CAMHS service model. They felt it was a real strength as it would help to ease stigma attached to mental health and reduce the need for a ‘middle man’.
