Surviving Winter Grants 2018/19 Application Process

The Surviving Winter Grants has been created through the generosity of local donors who have given their Winter Fuel Payment, or made a donation, to help people in Wiltshire who are experiencing fuel poverty and it is expected that the programme will run until the end of March 2019, depending on the funds available. This year a grant of £300 will be available to someone who is in receipt of a means-tested benefit and:
  • of state pensionable age or
  • of working age with a disability or a long-term health condition which affects their ability to keep warm or
  • in receipt of Better2gether childcare funding for their 2 year old

In order to help us process the forms as quickly as possible please can you remember to attach the following evidence when you send us the application:

  • Means tested benefits letters or bank statement showing the DWP payment
  • Better2gether letter for 2 year old childcare funding (if applicable)
  • Bank statement/picture of bank card which confirms the account name and numbers which the grant will be paid into - our finance department and our auditors require us to check the account name and numbers before paying a grant to protect against fraud.

They do not accept applications directly from individuals as they need to come through one of their partner organisations :–
