What We Do: Short Break is a service for children and adults with physical and learning disabilities, autism and Asperger's Syndrome. Our centre, which is registered for both children and adults at separate times, provides 24 hour care in a specially adapted setting. The centre is used by people with disabilities from across Newcastle, the wider North East region and beyond; with referrals being accepted from social workers, healthcare professionals and independently by families.

Our aim is to create an enabling environment which recognises and respects people as individuals who have rights, needs and responsibilities; facilitating personal choice for growth and independence. Our bespoke specialised short breaks are tailored for each individual and their needs, and we aim to deliver our service in a happy, stimulating and safe environment.
